Mia is currently located in Oklahoma City. She enjoys being active in the arts and non-profit community where she frequently engages with her fellow arts enthusiasts and co-workers. Between teaching, working, and volunteering she enjoys spending time with her friends and peers.
SEPTEMBER 2023- OKLAHOMA CITY BALLET ASSOCIATE BOARD: 2023 NUTCRACKER TEA

The Oklahoma City Ballet's Associate Board proudly hosted the 2023 Nutcracker Tea at The Civic Center Music Hall in Downtown Oklahoma City. As a volunteer and Board member, Mia got to see the magic of "The Nutcracker" come to life during this fundraiser.
DECEMBER 2023- SUNFLOWER DANCE ACADEMY'S CHRISTMAS PRODUCTION

Sunflower Dance Academy's Christmas Production was a fantastic ending to the fall semester. Mia worked with the oldest members of the company to choreograph her piece "Frozen Sky" in the style of Contemporary Ballet.
SEPTEMBER 2023- LYRIC THEATRE'S 2023 BROADWAY BASH FUNDRAISER

In September of 2023, Mia and her team at Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma successfully celebrated Lyric's 60th Anniversary at the 2023 Broadway Bash! As Development's Special Events Associate, Mia coordinated event details, communicated with vendors, and collaborated with donors, sponsors, and guests to ensure a fun night of entertainment and fundraising.
FALL 2023- DANCE INSTRUCTOR

Mia is currently teaching dance at Sunflower Dance Academy in Norman OK, and the Lyric Theatre Thelma Gaylord Academy in Oklahoma City, OK. She teaches tap, theatre dance, and ballet to students ages 9- 18 years old. Her love for dance shines through as she continuously invests in her student's artistic growth. ​
OKLAHOMA CITY BALLET - ASSOCIATE BOARD MEMBER

Mia has recently been appointed as a member of Oklahoma City Ballet's Associate Board. Board Members assist with fundraising efforts and various special events throughout the year. In addition to being a patron of the ballet, and a ballet student, Mia is excited to be more involved in the philanthropic efforts of OKCB. ​
SUMMER 2023- OMAHA PERFORMING ARTS

Mia returned to Omaha Performing Arts to act as Associate Choreographer for the 10th Anniversary of the Nebraska Highschool Theatre Academy Showcase.

FALL 2022- LYRIC THEATRE OF OKLAHOMA

After a fantastic summer with Lyric, Mia was brought on as a Special Events and Programs Associate with the Development Team. She is the project manager for Lyric's annual Broadway Bash fundraiser and continues to track individual giving and oversee donor stewardship. She is enjoying her time with Lyric Theatre as they celebrate their inaugural year as The Offical State Theatre of Oklahoma.
SUMMER 2022- LYRIC THEATRE OF OKLAHOMA

Mia used her knowledge of Non-Profit Arts Organizations, development, fundraising, and special event planning, as a Development Intern with the Official State Theatre of Oklahoma. Lyric Theatre is a wonderful community that brings high-quality musical theatre production to the entire state. Mia worked with her mentors and fellow interns to grow and develop this incredible organization.

SUMMER 2022- OMAHA PERFORMING ARTS

Mia returned to her roots this summer by accepting a contract with Omaha Performing Arts to be the Assistant Choreographer for their annual "Nebraska High School Theatre Academy Showcase" or "NHSTA Showcase". The NHSTA program at Omaha Performing Arts is what first introduced Mia to Broadway-quality theatre and education and it was an honor for her to return to the program, this time, on the other side of the table. Mia assisted Shay Bland, a New York-based dancer, choreographer, and artist. She worked alongside the Artistic Directors, OPA faculty, and an incredible team to bring this year's showcase to life for the first time since 2019.

SPRING 2022 - OCU: THE ANN LACY SCHOOL OF AMERICAN DANCE AND ENTERTAINMENT

Mia celebrated her graduation from The Ann Lacy School of American Dance and Entertainment at Oklahoma City University. Mia graduated Cum Laude, earning her Bachelor of Science in Dance and Arts Management. As a graduate, she is looking for new and exciting opportunities to be involved in the entertainment industry. Her four years at OCU were incredibly formative, and she enjoyed her journey as a student and dancer.
SPRING 2022 - "BROADWAY REVUE"

Mia closed her last "Broadway Revue", as a featured dancer under Director, Jo Rowan. Credits include: "Come Dance With Me" (Jessica Fay), "I'm a Brass Band" (Alana Martin), "Petals" (Tye Love), and "Walkin On Sunshine" (Kelly Stevens).
WINTER 2021 - "HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS"

Mia performed in "Home for the Holidays", as a featured dancer under Director, Jo Rowan. Credits include: "Fill the World With Love" (Jo Rowan), "Skaters" (Tye Love), "A Hand for Mrs. Claus" (Alana Martin), and "Last Christmas" (Tiffany van der Merwe).
FALL 2021 - GAMMA PHI BETA SORORITY

Mia acted as the Membership Vice President for student-led organization, Gamma Phi Beta (Beta Omicron) on the Oklahoma City University campus. Her duties included planning, executing, and leading her chapter through the fall Formal Recruitment process.
FALL 2021 - STARBUCKS CORPORATION

Back at her favorite job, Mia is enjoying her time as a Barista with Starbucks Corporation. As a store opener, she has the pleasure of starting off her mornings with the smell of fresh coffee and the smiling faces of her store's regular customers. She loves the fast paced environment, her co-workers who have become close freinds, and the opporunity to bring guests their favorite drinks and treats each day.
SUMMER 2021 - JOFFREY BALLET SCHOOL

Mia was fortunate enough to spend her summer in NYC as an Artistic Administrative Intern for The Joffrey Ballet School. She was able to work closely with the Artistic Directors, Faculty Members, and Administrative Staff at the Joffrey while exploring the city and creating friendships with her fellow college interns.
SPRING 2021- "SPRING INTO SPRING"

Mia performed as a featured soloist in Oklahoma City University's first-ever virtual dance showcase. She appeared in "Some Enchanted Evening", choreographed by Jo Rowan.
WINTER 2020- "THE NUTCRACKER" GUEST ARTIST

Mia was happy to return to her hometown, performing as a guest artist in Renne's School of Dance and Acrobatics' production of "The Nutcracker". Mia loved getting to perform in her hometown of Omaha, Nebraska with a fellow OCU star.
WINTER 2020- "CHRISTMAS KIDS"

In the winter of 2020, Mia performed a piece choreographed by Jessica Fay entitled "Gabrielle's Obo" in Oklahoma City University's production of "Christmas Kids".
SUMMER 2020- WEST HILLS YOUTH INTERN

While navigating the new normal created by the COVID-19 Pandemic, Mia was given the opportunity to work at West Hills Church in Omaha, Nebraska as the Youth Programming Intern. Mia created and executed new and exciting activities and events for the Youth Program.
SPRING 2020- AMERICAN SPIRIT DANCE COMPANY

In March Mia was cast as a dancer in the 2020 American Spirit Dance Company's Production: "Broadway Revue". Her credits included, "Elite Syncopations" (Tye Love), "Plenty of Money" (Cassandra Van Houten and Shadoe Brant), and "Stars and Stripes" (Jo Rowan).
WINTER 2019- AMERICAN SPIRIT DANCE COMPANY

The American Spirit Dance Company's "Home for the Holidays" brought Mia several incredible opportunities to perform with her peers. Her credits included, "Somewhere In My Memory" and "Winter Storm" (Tye Love), "Peace on Earth" and "Santa Kickline" (Jo Rowan), and "Angels From the Realms of Glory" (Jessica Fay).
SUMMER 2019- THE ROCK SCHOOL FOR DANCE EDUCATION INTERN

In the Summer of 2019, Mia completed her first professional Internship with The Rock School for Dance Education in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. As an Administrative and Residential Intern, Mia created unforgettable memories with The Rock Faculty and Summer Students.
